New connection steps

Step-1: Apply for new connection.

Step-2: Payment of new connection application fee by customer through Janata Bank, Nurpur Branch, Pabna / Nogod.

Step-3: Submission of application fee payment copy and necessary documents to the office –

             Necessary documents:

             Residential (up to two (02) km):

            1. Signed application as per NID with load file

            2. Photocopy of National Identity Card (NID).

            3. Two (02) copies of passport size photographs

            4. Copy of electricity bill of own / neighboring house

            5(a). Photocopy of TIN Certificate (within Municipality)

              (b). Photocopy of Citizenship Certificate (Outside Municipality)

            6. Photocopy of Land Deed / Certificate / Dismissal

            7. Succession Certificate (if applicable)

            8. No Objection Letter (NOC) of all if there are multiple owners of the land.

           Commercial & Office / Small Industries / Irrigation / Construction:

          1. Signed application as per NID with load file

          2. Photocopy of National Identity Card (NID).

          3. Two (02) copies of passport size photographs

          4. Copy of electricity bill of own / neighboring house

          5(a) Photocopy of TIN Certificate (within Municipality)

            (b) Photocopy of Citizenship Certificate (Outside Municipality)

          6. Photocopy of Land Deed / Certificate / Dismissal

          7. No Objection Letter (NOC) of all if there are multiple owners of the land.

          8. Succession Certificate (if applicable)

          9. Photocopy of Trade License (if applicable)

         10. Solar Installation Information (above two (02) km)

         11. Fire Extinguishing Certificate (above 10 floors)

         12. Approved building planning copy of Municipality / City Corporation

         13. Permission to operate Substation of Chief Electricity Inspector in case of MT/HT connection.

         14. Approval letter from Irrigation Committee (in case of irrigation connection)

Step-4: Receipt of file and verification of documents by Lower Level Assistant (LDA).

Step-5: Preparation of survey report by the responsible officers/officers of the department.

Step-6: If it is possible to provide connection in the survey report, prepare and pay the security and estimate bill to the customer, otherwise inform the customer through letter that connection is not possible.

Step-7: Janata Bank, Nurpur Branch, Pabna / Payment of deposit of surety bill and estimate bill provided by the customer from the branch through Nogod.

Step-8: Deposit of meter by customer at office.

Step-9: When the copy of the paid bill of deposit and estimate comes from the bank to the office, issue the account number in favor of the customer and include the account number in the relevant meter reading book.

Step-10: Lineman/Electrician of the office arranges to connect the meter from the office to the customer end and prepare the electricity bill in the next month and send the copy of the bill to the customer end.
